the Internet
The vast majority of Nassans are able to plug into the ‘Net (via the method of Plugging as explained on the Internet page) and interact with others. The ‘Net itself can take a variety of appearances, from areas designed to mimic buildings or scenes to glowing, winding tunnels of data. Users are capable of altering themselves, allowing them to appear however they like while plugged.

Upper Levels

Forum Threads Posts Latest
Affluence
Aptly named, Affluence is an upper class bar and club located around fifteen floors below Corporation Level. The club itself is huge, spread across the entire floor, and made to seem all the larger with its minimalist, chic white and cream decor. The lights are almost always dimmed (to fit the classy atmosphere), and drinks are served at several points around the floor – the first to be visited are usually those near the elevator or sky road entrances – with various game stations offering poker, roulette and other such games also dotted about. There is a dance floor, but there is usually only a small number of people ever on it, and there are also a few private rooms for private chats or even meetings.

Corporation Level
At the very top of several of Nassa’s tallest skyscrapers sits what is known as Corporation Level. This is where the ‘magic’ happens, and where the fates of Nassans are decided every now and again. For the most part, Corporation Level is just a series of offices (there are specific buildings for each corporation), plus research facilities, meeting halls and board rooms. Ceytech’s floors are the most specialist, with at least one floor devoted to equipment and testing. Only employees of the corporations are capable of accessing this area.

Risvera Suites
Although the name ‘Risvera Suites’ suggests that this series of apartment complex floors is owned by an entirely different company, it is actually Mercury Enterprises masquerading under a more glamorous name. The wealthiest Nassans deserve glamour, after all. The Risvera Suites are very large apartments, though they vary in size depending on the needs of the resident/s. Each is equipped with a bathroom, bedroom(s), living room, kitchen and a spare room, and dining rooms and other extra rooms are optional. Every floor has a large, comfortable lobby complete with a small bar that serves drinks and snacks, as well as access to the sky roads.

Astral Gardens
Located on the roofs of five different buildings, the Astral Gardens are a rather stunning series of public parks, all linked by long, see-through bridges decorated with plants and flowers (they are built like tunnels to ensure no one falls out, of course). Each park has a fountain, a pond, a small field and even small patches of woodland and garden. With the gardens playing host to the only living foliage in all of Nassa, it’s unsurprising that the parks are a popular place for socialising even for those who aren’t of the upper class – while still monitored regularly, even the poor residents of Nassa are welcomed into the parks.

Sundocke
Sundocke is a sleek, clean mall situated on massive, floating platform in the middle of the city. It is laid out similarly to a market, but considering the fact that all of the shops are from branches of the corporations; it isn’t really much of a market, exactly. There is a wide variety of shops, from clothes to electronics to miscellaneous goods, as well as the obligatory food court and even a small court yard for taking a break in. Like much of the rest of Nassa, it is very minimalist where colour is concerned, with white and silver floors and walls and extra-strength glass windows everywhere, making it seem like a rather bright and cheery place.

Melye's Café
Another branch of Mercury Enterprise’s, Melye’s Café is a chain of coffee shops located on various buildings. Each shop is relatively small in comparison to most other stores in Nassa, but the quality is second to none ( or so the advertisement says). Each café is brightly lit, sporting the same colour schemes as other shops, and often decorated with artificial plants. The chain serves a variety of different things, with some only available at specific stores (one of which sells a mouth-watering choice of chocolates).

Elsewhere in the Upper Levels
There is a vast expanse of other places in the upper levels, from the odd classy shop to the sides of the buildings themselves or the back seat of a hover car. This board is for those such places – you are free to role play in whatever setting you like here, just be sure to specify where you are when you make a new thread.

Lower Levels

Forum Threads Posts Latest
Nassa's Streets
While those on the upper levels float around in their hover cars and admire the view, those who inhabit the lower levels still rely on walking the city streets to get around. The streets are dark, dirty and generally unpleasant – they are rarely, if ever, cleaned, and because the corporations have little to do with the lower classes, image isn’t particularly important. The streets are relatively wide, though Nassa also has its fair share of mysterious, smoky alleyways, and most of the light comes from street lamps, even during the day; very few rays of sun manage to penetrate the chrome and concrete canopy.

Accommodation
Accommodation in the lower levels of Nassa is much smaller, but not necessarily less comfortable, than it is in the upper levels. Most of the apartments and homes here are very dark and, quite often, cramped. There isn’t really the room for the spacious minimalism that those who inhabit the Risvera Suites love so much, thus the rooms and furniture are only ever as big as they need to be. These barely lit apartments do include the same security features (e.g. palm scanner) and the same rooms (bathroom, kitchen, bedrooms) but often without the extra options.

Uskhan Bazaar
The Uskhan Bazaar is the lower level equivalent of Sundocke, but the liveliness of the bazaar is unmatched. Unlike the cold and sterile sky mall, the bazaar is filled with homemade stalls and merchants selling all kinds of strange things, from street food to unusual weapons or clothes. The narrow pathways in between the rows of stalls are often packed with people, and the sounds of shouting about goods and bargains is almost enough to totally drown out any quiet conversation.

the Void
The darkest depths of Nassa’s underbelly have, over time, become known as the Void. Little to no light reaches them, even during the day, and the ground is coated in a thin layer of mist, likely due to pollution. The Void plays host to the city’s black market – merchants lurk near corners with their goods, which can be anything from drugs to even people. There are a few spots used as meeting places, normally small, seedy bars or motels, as well as a few small patches of land that haven’t been built on that double as dank city squares. Although you’d expect crime here to be high, it’s no worse than the rest of the city; those who work in the black market tend to have a kind of mutual respect for one another.

Wreckage
In certain places in the lower levels it is possible to find remains of Old Nassa – the city as it was centuries ago. ‘Wreckage’, as the location has been named by its frequenters, is the best place for a glimpse into the past where ruins are concerned. Old concrete buildings are toppled; piping, wiring and the metal skeletons of old structures litter a small area of the lower levels (probably about the same diameter as the large, upper level mall, Sundocke) like a metal jungle. The area is great for exploration or just killing time by climbing around, and by night the Wreckage acts as an open club, complete with flashing lights and blaring music.

The lower levels are not limited to those areas above; there’s plenty other places to explore but not enough space to describe them. This board is for those such places – you are free to role play in whatever setting you like here, just be sure to specify where you are when you make a new thread.
